Hello! My name is Christine, I’m 29 years old and live in Scotland. I have always loved reading and I really want to share my love of books with likeminded people, this seemed like the best way to go about that. This site will primarily involve book reviews and ‘best of’ lists. I read most genres of books, however some more than others. I read a great deal of crime and thrillers, literary fiction, contemporary fiction, memoirs and a little mystery. I read some non-fiction and fantasy. I read very little romance and horror and I do not read comics or graphic novels. My favourite book of all time is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak – I think it is one of the most beautiful and skilful novels of all time. Close seconds would be Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë and Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier, I don’t read classics all that often but I do have a few I like very much and to me, these are top of the list! All of my reviews are completely my own opinion and I realise not everyone will share that opinion. However, I feel it is always helpful to know what someone else thinks about a book before or after you read it yourself. I know I always find it fascinating that different people can have such different reactions to the same piece of work and I think that is half the fun.
