Why Did You Start Blogging and Why Have You Kept Blogging?

I started my blog a couple of years ago because I really wanted to be a bigger part of the book community! I have always been a self confessed bookworm but to be honest, not many of my friends and family are big readers. I really wanted to find a group of people and a place where I could discuss the books I’m reading and review them and I’m so glad I did. I’ve kept blogging because I love my blogging friends and love hearing everyone else’s opinions on the books they are reading too! It’s also led to some great opportunities to read ARCs and I love taking photos for my bookstagram! I adore this community.

What Is Your Favourite Type of Blog Post to Write?

I like writing lists a lot but my favourite is a straightforward review especially when it’s a book I really loved and want to support!

What Are Your Top Three Favourite Blog Posts You Have Written?

Three of my favourites from this year:

Three Hours by Rosamund Lupton – ARC Review

My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell – Book Review

Top Ten Tuesday: The Last Ten Books That Gave Me A Book Hangover

What Are Some of Your Favourite Things to do to Relax?

I find reading relaxing, it always distracts me from my anxiety. Yoga and curling up with my dog and watching Netflix also do the trick!

What Are Three of Your Favourite Things?

  1. Dogs
  2. Books
  3. Cake

What Are Your Proudest Blogging Moments?

It was probably when I got my first physical ARC sent to me – it’s such a nice feeling to know that there are people who respect your opinion enough to want you to read and review a book they are publishing! I also felt so happy when my blog reached over 500 followers – that felt like a lovely milestone. And every time I’m approved to read a book on Netgalley I am so pleased!

What Are Your Hobbies Outside of Blogging?

I have a few other hobbies besides reading and blogging! I love yoga, theatre, art, dog walks and I’m trying to learn calligraphy slowly but surely! I’m also a university student studying costume design so I do a lot of sewing and drawing, both of which I love although when there’s a deadline, it can be pretty stressful!

Describe Your Personality in Three Words?

This is hard! I’m going with…

  1. Organised
  2. Creative
  3. Articulate

What Are Your Top Three Pet Peeves?

  1. Groups of people who walk really slowly in front of me and take up the whole pavement!
  2. Men (sorry but it’s almost always men) who spit on the ground as they are walking around in public.
  3. Lying. Untrustworthiness in general actually, I like people to be true to their word and value reliability, unless there is a genuine reason they can’t be, which I would obviously understand.

What’s Something Your Followers Don’t Know About You?

Hmmm, I’m not sure! Maybe that I studied Ballet for about 15 years, I went to about 4 classes a week in my mid-teens! It’s something I still do occasionally but way less than I used to! I still love watching Ballet though, in fact I like any kind of dancing really!
